The Toronto Red Pages works with both Indigenous individuals and families in the City of Toronto. We work one-on-one to determine their needs and if we can provide direct assistance. We also provide assistance for connections to other agencies or government services to be made if needed.

We run regular sessions with information for clients about how to access social and community resources, and how to navigate different administrative systems to get the help that is needed. Our information sessions provide information on a variety of topics, along with assistance with applying to them including:

  • Subsidized (rent-geared-to-income housing) and market rent housing in Toronto. Help with setting up the My Access to Housing Toronto online account to apply for housing and check the status of the application.
  • Financial literacy: Banking information, credit building and repair, taxation including access to a income tax preparation and filing of income tax returns, social assistance and other benefits from government.
  • Access to Financial Assistance Programs: Rent Bank, PHB Housing Benefits and Utility Programs such as Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP) and Low-income Energy Assistance Programs (LEAP/EEF).
